Toronto, ON – For the 12th consecutive year, global commercial real estate advisor Avison Young is honoured to be named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, with a Platinum Club designation. The 2023 Best Managed program award winners are among the best-in-class of Canadian owned and managed companies demonstrating leadership in the areas of strategy, capabilities, innovation, culture, commitment, and financials to achieve sustainable growth.
“Being named among the best managed companies in Canada is a distinction celebrated by the entire firm, globally, as this is a testament to our culture, strategy, innovation and – most importantly – to our people,” said Mark Rose, Chair and CEO of Avison Young. “Given the designation is achieved after a rigorous and independent process, this award gives us third-party credibility that affirms to our stakeholders that we are on the right track to deliver the real estate experience of the future.”
Avison Young’s commitment to creating real economic, social and environmental value, powered by people, is among the reasons why the firm is a great place to work and to be a client. Based on a principal-led partnership model, Avison Young is steered by more than 700 principals around the world who are industry leaders that exemplify partnership, collaboration and a client-first mentality. Together, they work toward developing top talent; improving the firm’s service delivery platform to support clients’ evolving business needs; advancing ESG and Wellness strategies; and investing in technology and innovation that shape clients’ critical decisions.
"To earn and retain a Best Managed Platinum Club status is a huge accomplishment,” said Lorrie King, partner at Deloitte Private and co-leader for Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. “Companies such as Avison Young that attain this high standard of excellence demonstrate consistent resilience, versatility, and strategic acuity. Year after year, they thrive in a competitive, rapidly changing market. This year’s winners should take pride in attaining this prestigious award in recognition of their significant and ongoing contributions to Canada’s business landscape.”
Applicants are evaluated by an independent judging panel comprised of representatives from program sponsors in addition to special guest judges. 2023 Best Managed companies share commonalities that include (but are not limited to) putting their people and culture first, focusing on their ESG strategies and accelerating operational digitization.
About Canada’s Best Managed Companies
Canada’s Best Managed Companies program continues to be the mark of excellence for privately-owned Canadian companies.
