As Compliance Manager for Canada, Andreea is responsible for regulatory compliance matters specific to Avison Young’s Canada business. Acting as delegate for the company’s Global Risk & Compliance Officer, Andreea manages the relationship between the firm and Canada’s provincial and federal regulators.

Andreea shifted from the national Operations team to the Global Risk & Compliance group in April 2024, after holding the role of Canadian Operations & Compliance Coordinator since 2021, where she focused on the implementation and the deployment of operational infrastructures in terms of systems, processes, and compliance across Canada. She was also responsible for ensuring operational compliance with legislation, rules and regulations, as well as assisting with the development of processes, controls, and training to meet regulatory requirements, duties that she still carries in her current role.

Andreea's career at Avison Young started in 2014, where she joined the Montreal Operations team. She worked on the development and implementation of local procedures, assisting with the oversight of daily operations of Quebec offices, ensuring compliance with company standards, policies and procedures, coordinating various projects, arranging and assisting with employee training, as well as providing operational support as required. Actively involved in the local accounting activities, Andreea additionally acted as the Local Revenue Processor (LRP) for Quebec from 2016 to 2021.
