Dan Wakumoto, CCIM is a seasoned professional adding value for his clients regarding office building investment sales, leasing and sale transactions. He has been in the commercial real estate industry since 1992 and brings valuable experience to his clients in evaluating their options and implementing their best long-term solution. His expertise includes transactional analysis, property acquisition, contract negotiation, acquisition due diligence, financial tracking, and budgeting.
As Director, North American Procurement, he is responsible for developing a strategic approach to the corporate procurement and material management processes for the purchase of direct and indirect goods and services. Additionally, Dan is involved with the Arcturus workplace planning process for the firm’s office locations.
Previously, Wakumoto was a co-founder of the Woodland Hills office for Sperry Van Ness and had roles as a Senior Investment Advisor and regional sales manager. There, he focused on commercial investment sales and office building transactions in Los Angeles County.
Dan is actively involved with many aspects at Avison Young, including involvement with the global leadership team, 401K Investment Committee, Return to Office Advisory Committee, Supplier Diversity sub-committee lead, and serves on the Southern California Executive Committee.
Wakumoto created the research platform for TOLD Partners, as well as focusing on the sale and leasing of office properties. Additional brokerage experience includes Cushman & Wakefield and Grubb & Ellis.
Besides being a licensed real estate agent, Wakumoto also achieved the prestigious CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. He has served on the leadership team for the greater Los Angeles chapter of CCIM as the Education Chair, the Scholarship Chair, Treasurer, Programs Chair and Membership Chair. He earned his Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University and completed the Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Southern California.
