As Southwest Regional Media Relations Specialist on Avison Young’s Global External Communications team, Darcie Giacchetto is responsible for regional-level media relations strategy and implementation in California, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas. 

Darcie served as a media consultant on behalf of Avison Young’s Southern California and Phoenix offices for eight years prior to joining the firm. She brings more than 20 years of experience in public relations and marketing including extensive work in media relations, branding, advertising, writing, marketing collateral and website development. 

Over her career she has specialized in the commercial real estate industry, working with a diverse mix of major real estate brokers, developers, investors, government entities, financing companies, property managers, and construction firms. 

She holds a Master’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from California State University, Fullerton and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media Communications from the University of San Diego.  She has also been the recipient of a number of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) awards for writing and campaigns and was an award recipient of Globest’s Women of Influence awards.
