David possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Management, Management (Entrepreneurship), and International Business from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and was a member of the Arizona State Collegiate Hockey Team. David also holds the SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) designation. SIOR is the leading global and professional office and industrial association which represents the most knowledgeable, experienced, and successful commercial real estate brokerage specialists. 

Prior to joining Avison Young’s Calgary office in 2014, David gained valuable experience working in logistics at C.H Robinson and in the Global Supply Chain/Contracts Department at Freeport-McMoRan. His previous experience has led to a natural transition into the real estate industry.Throughout his time at Avison Young, David has successfully completed numerous multi-million dollar land and building sales, design build development projects and lease transactions for both Landlords and Tenants. David’s commitment to the profession has propelled him to be one of the company’s youngest principals.

David stepped into the role of Emerging Leader Ambassador for the Calgary office in 2019. This is an ongoing professional development program for Avison Young associates in the first five years of their career and plays a vital role in the development of future company leaders. In 2020, David was the top Emerging leader producer in Canada and was recognized as a member Avison Young’s Circle of Excellence. In 2021, David was nominated and further accepted a position on the Global Emerging Leader Council with the purpose to oversee the growth and mentorship of both the Emerging Leader Ambassadors and new employees at the company.
