Dawson Smith is an Associate in Avison Young’s Houston office specializing in leasing and sales for the industrial sector in the Greater Houston market and across Texas. He also has extensive experience representing office tenants and their real estate needs. He works closely with the tenant representation team led by Anthony Squillante, a Principal in Avison Young’s Houston office.

Dawson helps clients align their real estate strategies and objectives via market analysis, site selection, economic advising, transaction management, and negotiation. These skills allow him to provide comprehensive real estate service to his clients.

Previously, Dawson was a Financial Analyst for Avison Young and assisted with market research and data assessment to better serve client needs. Dawson is highly skilled at cultivating and maintaining client relationships, with a dedicated work-ethic that adds tremendous value to the team. Prior to joining Avison Young, Dawson was a Supply Chain Project Manager at Shell Oil Company supporting downstream operations. At Shell, he delivered strategic product entries to Shell’s portfolio and was instrumental in launching initiatives for major global companies such as Walmart, FedEx, and Rolls-Royce. Dawson also brings valuable commercial real estate experience from his time with a Houston-based real estate development firm where he assisted with various tasks related to development, property management, and leasing.
