A +30-year veteran in corporate real estate, Emile started his career in 1983 as a general contractor and in 1988 moved to private sector working at Banca Cremi as Maintenance and construction manager.
In 1991 he moved to American Express as Admin Services Director where he was responsible for Facility & Project Management, Purchasing and General Services. In 1995 he joined GE as Corporate Services Director for Mexico and Latin America.
In 2000, he was hired by Citibank Mexico as VP for Corporate Realty Services in Mexico where he was responsible again for Transaction, Facility & Project Management. At Citi he achieved $75M sales and a 25% reduction in maintenance costs during the first year. In 2002 he left Citi after the Banamex acquisition to join Grupo Salinas in Mexico, owner of Elektra one of the largest retail store chains in Mexico with presence in 8 countries in Latin America; of TV Azteca, the second largest TV group in Mexico; Banco Azteca; and IUSACELL, the cellular company recently sold to AT&T.
At Grupo Salinas, Emile was responsible of integrating all corporate real estate services of the different businesses in to one centralized organization to give Facility, Project, Transaction and Lease Administration, also was responsible of Research and Marketing for new store in Mexico and Latin America. The size of this business was over $3M square meters, the result was a 28% cost reduction the first year. Also he centralized all purchasing responsibilities in the different companies of the group achieving $32M in savings during the first year of implementation. Between 2007 and 2010, he was appointed as General Director of Merchandising in Elektra where he was responsible of $1.5B spent in product purchasing.
In 2013 he signed a Strategic Alliance with Coldwell Banker Commercial where he joined to the corporate services team, and in April of 2014 started the DTZ operations in Mexico as COO of LatAm.
Emile has a Civil Engineer degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and Administration Studies from Saint Joseph University in Beirut Lebanon. He is a Green Belt (six sigma) and also attended the Experienced Management Course in GE where all intendancies are invited and it is equivalent to an MBA.
