Heather Almond is responsible for leading the property management and marketing strategy for Avison Young’s retail portfolio across the United States. 

Prior to joining Avison Young, she was Executive Vice President, Retail Services of Madison Marquette leading the firm’s retail property management and marketing teams across more than 10 million square feet of owned and serviced retail portfolios throughout the United States. Additionally, Heather led the firm’s corporate marketing. Heather applies over 20 years of experience from two global leaders in the commercial real estate and shopping center industry.

Previously, Heather led Property Marketing for a top global firm’s Retail Property Management platform and drove strategy, best practices and customized service solutions for clients with retail properties. Under her leadership, managed retail properties received numerous marketing excellence awards. Heather has extensive experience with flagship, mixed-use and lifestyle shopping centers, having spent a significant portion of her career with Westfield Corporation. She has a proven talent for developing teams and execution, demonstrated as center management leader for the grand opening of the iconic Westfield San Francisco Centre and as field marketing leadership for 38 shopping centers in the United States.

In addition to volunteering with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Heather believes in being active in the community and has served on numerous boards and committees.
