Jochen started his real estate career in the summer of 1992 at an traditional Hamburg real estate company.

In June 1996, Jochen and his partner Marc Bachmann founded the brokerage firm VÖLCKERS & CIE, specializing in letting and sale of office and industrial real estate in Hamburg.

Jochen and his founding partner have been responsible for the company for more than 22 years. At it‘s peak the company had more than 30 employees.

In July 2019, VÖLCKERS & CIE merged its activities with Avison Young. Jochen took on the role of Managing Director and Principal in the now expanded company Avison Young in Hamburg.

Jochen is a real estate agent and real estate economist (ebs). In addition, he is a member in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
