John Dolan, a 17-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, is Avison Young’s Managing Director in New England.  Based in Boston, John oversees operations, business development, recruitment, and culture for the region.  Prior to his management role, John served as an advisor focusing on Boston’s suburban market, working with tenants on office and industrial space locally and nationally. John has represented tenants ranging from growing technology companies to large institutions and he is known for being an advisor who takes the time to understand a client’s needs and devises unique solutions for each situation.  

Prior to joining Avison Young, John spent nearly nine years with McCall & Almy and, previously, served for over five years as Assistant Vice President at Colliers International. He served as President of the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA) in 2018 and member of its Executive Committee from 2016-2021. John was awarded Creative Deal of the Year in 2014 and Suburban Deal of the Year in 2017 by the CBA. He is a member of the CBA, CoreNet New England, and the Real Estate Finance Association. John is also on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund.

John is a familiar voice to sports fans in the Boston area. He has been a sports public address announcer for over 20 years, announcing games for the Boston Bruins, Boston College, New England Patriots, New York Knicks, and the Beanpot & Hockey East college hockey tournaments.
