Kate joined Avison Young as a graduate in June 2021 having previously worked at Bradford Metropolitan District Council (2020-2021). She is soon to finish an MA in Town and Regional Planning at Leeds Beckett University.

Kate’s previous role in the development management team, involved determining a variety of planning applications from across Bradford District and assessing proposals for lawfulness using the General Permitted Development Order. She had experience of working with applicants, Councillors and members of the public when determining applications.

Since moving to the Leeds planning team, Kate has been broadening her experience by assisting colleagues with a variety of different projects. This has included managing small-scale applications, preparing site appraisals, and assisting with plan preparation and application submissions.
