Katy Krause has recently joined Avison Young as a Senior Manager for the Workplace Consulting team in Canada, within Avison Young’s Professional Services team. Katy is motivated by new challenges, harnessing her 25+ years of innovative workplace project experience as a practicing Interior Designer. Approaching problem solving with a collaborative spirit, she fosters innovation across diverse teams, has a deep understanding of the design process and excels in seeking out a project vision.  

Katy has led a variety of commercial workplace projects with a full scope of services. From workplace strategy to concept/design development to construction/implementation, providing her with both high-level and detailed insight to the process and successful space solutions. In this past year, Katy has analyzed and advised several organizations on a Return to Office (RTO) strategy. These recommendations ranged from de-densification, space strategies to support brand and cultural objectives and practical initiatives to create a safe, flexible and welcoming workplace.

Katy is inspired by the intersection of people and place. Combining her strong communication skills, technical understanding and extensive experience, she gets excited about engaging stakeholders to define and deliver comprehensive and thoughtful solutions. Using her creative and strategic capabilities, Katy believes in building strong relationships. She likes to listen and will ask questions to create unique project goals to attain meaningful outcomes for your organization.
