Melissa joined Avison Young in 2020 as a Senior Property Accountant.   She began her accounting career as a Property Staff Accountant at Kimco Realty Corp in NY. With 4 years of financial reporting experience behind her, she joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2008 as a Client Senior Accountant. In 2009, she was promoted to Client Accounting Manager where she reviewed client reporting packages for over 30 properties owned by 7 different clients. She managed the day-to-day accounting, as well as implemented policies and procedures for a staff of 3 Senior Accountants. Melissa I served as the company accounting representative for the yearly client roundtable events and was a member of both the Quality Control Committee and the Accounting Newsletter Committee. Additionally, she was the company lead on the Yardi License Fee billing project where she helped Cushman & Wakefield generate approximately $1 million in revenue. In 2019 she was honorably nominated to become Chair of the Women’s Integrated Network, Boca Raton Chapter. As the Chair, she coordinated charity events and held quarterly meetings educating and empowering members.
