Sam is an accomplished professional in the field of commercial mortgage brokerage, bringing experience and a passion for delivering exceptional financial solutions. In January 2017, Sam joined the team at Avison Young, where he has been an integral part of the commercial mortgage brokerage division. Holding the title of senior mortgage associate, Sam's journey in the industry began even before Avison Young, as he began learning skills and expertise in a support role at a commercial mortgage company during summer breaks and throughout the year in 2016.

Throughout his career, Sam has played a pivotal role in securing funding for a diverse range of commercial mortgages, spanning from $1 million to $80 million. His experience encompasses facilitating financing for acquisitions, developments, and CMHC insured mortgages, showcasing his versatility in navigating various asset types.

Sam played major junior hockey with the Medicine Hat Tigers and the Spruce Grove Saints gaining invaluable experience that transfers to the workplace. These experiences provided him with skills that seamlessly translate to the world of business. After concluding his hockey career, Sam pursued a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a specialization in Finance, at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology). His dedication and commitment to academic excellence led to graduation with honors, earning a spot on the Dean's List.
