Scott McLellan joined Avison Young as a result of the November 2013 acquisition of McShea & Company, Inc., where he served from 1994 in progressive roles, as a senior building engineer, Director of Engineering, Senior Property Manager and Vice President. Mr. McLellan's tenure was interrupted briefly from 2004-2006 when he served as the Director of Property Management for Investment Properties, Inc. where he oversaw the management of family-owned assets and third-party accounts totaling 1.7 million square feet of office, retail and industrial space in Maryland and Washington.

Awards & Affiliations

Scott has a distinguished record of leadership within the property management industry and is designated as a Certified Property Manager by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).  He is also the Past President of the West-Central Maryland chapter and was named the chapter's Certified Property Manager of the Year in 2010.   Areas of expertise include construction management of large capital improvement projects, extensive knowledge of building mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC systems in particular), due diligence and transitioning of new accounts.
