Morande, a Principal, has served as Avison Young’s Chief Accounting Officer since joining the company in 2015 and has 22 years of commercial real estate industry experience. He was promoted to Chief Financial Officer – North America in 2019.  Morande serves as a strategic business partner to the U.S., Canada and Mexico leadership teams and Managing Directors. He is also responsible for providing leadership on long-term and short-term strategic planning and growth, profitability, financial planning and analysis for these markets.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Tom spent 18 years at JLL, most recently as Chief Operating Officer for the Americas Capital Markets division, responsible for M&A and recruiting as well as overseeing business support functions and managing business plan execution and implementation. Previously, Tom served as the Americas Chief Financial Officer for six years after holding positions of Chief Accounting Officer and Controller for the JLL Americas Region. He directed all financial activities and accounting practices for the $1.3 billion Americas Region which included a team of 350 employees in 20 offices throughout the U.S., Canada and Latin America during a period of significant growth. Tom began his career in public accounting working for a Big 4 public accounting firm.
